وكان مجلس النواب قد صوت بالأغلبية على منح الثقة لحكومة رئيس الوزراء نوري المالكي من دون الوزارات الأمنية في 21 كانون الأول من العام الماضي. The House of Representatives has voted by majority to give confidence to the government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, without the security ministries on 21 December last year.
وقال ابراهيم في تصريح (للوكالة الاخبارية للانباء)اليوم الاثنين: أن القائمة العراقية قدمت عدة شخصيات لتسلم منصب وزارة الدفاع لكن القائد العام للقوات المسلحة ورئيس الوزراء نوري المالكي لم يوافق على أي شخصية من هذه الشخصيات. Ibrahim said in a statement (the Agency news) on Monday: that the Iraqi List, presented several figures to take over the position of the Ministry of Defence but the commander of the armed forces, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki did not agree to any character of the figures.
وأضاف أن المالكي سلم هذا الملف إلى شخصية ليس لديه خلفية عسكرية وإنما خلفية فلسفية على عكس الأسماء التي قدمتهم العراقية جميعهم قادرون على إدارة هذه الوزارة لأنهم من العسكريين. ونفى ابراهيم أن تكون هناك اتفاقات سرية بين العراقية ودولة القانون على إبقاء الوزارات الأمنية على حالها، مشيراً إلى أن هناك خلافات كبيرة بين دولة القانون والعراقية لعدم حول الوزارات الأمنية.
