10/3/2011 8:48 PM
BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshiar Zebari described today the latest statements made by MPs on having a bribe from Kuwait as "an insult to the government" because they are baseless with the intention of defamation".
He called MPs to follow legal and administrative procedures in their media statements, stressing that the foreign ministry will resort to justice.
In a press conference held today, Zebari reviewed his participation with the high-ranking delegation to the UN General Assembly meetings in New York.
He pointed out that the "Iraqi delegation that visited Kuwait at the end of March last comprised five ministers, legal experts and ambassadors, during which future strategic relations between the two countries discussed, in addition to technical and humanistic issues and reviewing different agreements signed between them".
